Full Job Description

Overview
We are seeking a full-time Lead Caregiver & Resident Driver at South Winds Assisted Living, Located in Kenosha, WI. This person must be able to multi-task and succeed in a fast-paced environment, be able to motivate and inspire a team, and effectively respond to the changing needs of the seniors we serve.

Provide compassionate, hands-on care and supervision to residents, including assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs).
Supervise and support caregiving staff to ensure high-quality care and adherence to facility policies.
Monitor residents’ health, safety, and overall well-being, reporting any changes to management or healthcare providers.
Administer medications as directed and maintain accurate documentation.
Assist in coordinating activities, meals, and daily schedules to promote resident engagement and quality of life.
Communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, and healthcare professionals.
Train, mentor, and oversee caregiving staff to maintain a positive, team-oriented environment.
Ensure the facility remains clean, organized, and compliant with state regulations.
Safely drive residents to doctors’ appointments, outings, and other approved destinations.

Qualifications / Requirements

Previous caregiving and supervisory experience preferred.
Strong communication and leadership skills.
Ability to manage and mentor staff in a small team setting.
Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to supporting seniors.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (required).
Ability to safely operate facility or personal vehicle for transporting residents.
Must pass background check and meet all state compliance requirements.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.50 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Work Location: In person
