Full Job Description

Vineyard Park Cottages Covington is seeking a dependable and service-oriented Maintenance Assistant / Technician to join our senior living memory care community. This is a part-time role with the potential to grow into a full-time position based on performance and business needs.

In this role, you will help maintain a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for our residents. The ideal candidate values customer service, safety, and respect for seniors, and takes pride in maintaining a high-quality living environment.

Key Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance and repairs (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, carpentry), as supported and directed by the Campus Maintenance Director.
Respond promptly and professionally to resident maintenance requests
Assist with apartment turns and unit readiness
Conduct preventative maintenance and safety checks
Maintain common areas, hallways, and outdoor grounds
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, including senior living standards
Support emergency maintenance needs as required
Maintain a clean and organized maintenance shop and inventory

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
1+ years of maintenance or related experience preferred
Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems, preferred.
Strong customer service skills and a resident-first mindset
Ability to communicate respectfully with seniors, families, and staff
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Valid driver’s license (if required)
Ability to lift, stand, bend, and perform physical tasks

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in senior living, healthcare, hospitality, or multifamily housing
Understanding of safety and compliance in residential care environments
