Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for managing payroll processes with precision and efficiency, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time. Your expertise will support our financial operations, HR functions, and compliance requirements. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a collaborative environment where your skills in payroll management, accounting software, and data entry will drive organizational success. Responsibilities

Process payroll using systems such as AutoSoft, Reynolds and Reynolds and Dealer Track, ensuring timely and accurate payments
Reconcile payroll data with general ledger accounts through account reconciliation and double entry bookkeeping practices
Maintain and update employee records within payroll software solutions
Manage benefits administration related to payroll, including deductions and tax withholding adjustments
Perform journal entries and ensure proper posting to the general ledger for payroll transactions
Conduct analysis of payroll data to identify discrepancies or errors and resolve issues promptly.
Assist with governmental reporting requirements, tax filings, and compliance audits related to payroll activities
Perform employee onboarding, terminations, and benefits updates and Wage Withdolding Orders

Experience

Proven experience in payroll within a corporate or non-profit environment
Familiarity with payroll software platforms including AutoSoft, Reynolds, and DealerTrack is highly desirable
Strong understanding of accounting principles such as debits & credits, journal entries, general ledger reconciliation, and financial concepts
Knowledge of benefits administration processes and governmental tax regulations related to payroll processing
Demonstrated ability in data entry with high accuracy (10 key typing skills) and attention to detail
Background in human resources functions such as HRIS management or benefits administration is a plus
Excellent analysis skills for troubleshooting discrepancies and ensuring compliance with financial standards
