Computer Software Expertise:

In-depth knowledge of Dentrix software.

Insurance Proficiency:

Strong understanding of dental insurance plans.
Comfortable explaining dental benefit plans to patients and maximizing their benefits.
Familiar with flex spending plans.
Expertise in benefit verification and coordination.
Experienced in handling insurance aging and appeals.
Knowledgeable about fee schedules, copays, maximums, and deductibles.

Accounting Skills:

Proficient in posting payments and balancing daily receipts.
Understands Accounts Receivable (AR) management and implements strategies to control AR.
Knowledgeable in collection practices and skilled in discussing financial matters with patients.

Attuned to patient needs, particularly in relation to the severity of dental issues.
A team player who works well with colleagues.
Outgoing and personable.

Treatment Planning and Financial Arrangements:

Experienced in preparing, prioritizing, and presenting treatment plans to patients.
Skilled in addressing patient objections regarding scheduling and finances.
Familiar with third-party financing options and capable of presenting all financial choices to patients.
Good general knowledge of dental terminology, able to explain procedures in layman's terms.
Proficient in logging notes and following up on unscheduled treatment.
Knowledge of implants, CEREC, and Invisalign is a plus.

Scheduling:

Thorough understanding of the Dentrix Appointment book.
Able to schedule for multiple doctors.
Knowledgeable in the Dentrix recare system.
Capable of adjusting schedules to meet daily goals.
Understanding of block scheduling.

Requirements:

Articulate and service-oriented.
Ability to multitask, take initiative, and anticipate the needs of others.
Reliable and punctual, available for 36-40 hours per week,
Works well in a team environment, bringing humor, enthusiasm, and joyful consideration of others.
Willingness to travel with the team for offsite continuing education.
Resides within 30 minutes of our South Carlsbad office.
