Case Manager – Personal Injury (Pre-Litigation)

Overview

A growing personal injury law firm is seeking an experienced and motivated Case Manager to join our Pre-Litigation team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is highly organized, and is passionate about providing exceptional customer service to clients during a difficult time in their lives.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, able to multitask effectively, communicates professionally with clients and staff, and works well in a collaborative team environment. Our Case Managers play a vital role in ensuring clients receive outstanding care while their cases progress toward resolution.

Responsibilities

Open and establish new personal injury files.
Guide clients through the treatment process by coordinating medical care and helping ensure their recovery remains on track.
Build strong relationships with clients by providing compassionate, responsive, and exceptional customer service throughout the life of the case.
Communicate regularly with clients, insurance companies, medical providers, and other parties to provide updates and obtain necessary information.
Develop and manage each case in accordance with firm policies while working diligently toward a successful resolution.
Work closely with the assigned attorney and other departments to ensure all case requirements are completed accurately and on time.
Promptly establish Auto Liability, Uninsured Motorist (UM), Underinsured Motorist (UIM), Personal Injury Protection (PIP), and Medical Payments (Med Pay) claims.
Obtain, organize, and review medical records, billing records, liens, and other documentation necessary to evaluate the client's claim.
Prepare, compile, and dispatch comprehensive settlement demand packages to insurance carriers, ensuring all supporting documentation is complete, accurate, and submitted in a timely manner.
Follow up with insurance adjusters regarding demand packages, negotiate as directed by the assigned attorney, and assist in moving claims toward resolution.
Maintain accurate case documentation and ensure all deadlines are met.
Prioritize multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining a high level of organization and attention to detail.
Collaborate with attorneys, legal assistants, and other team members to provide the highest level of service to every client.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a Personal Injury Case Manager in a plaintiff's personal injury law firm is required.
Strong knowledge of pre-litigation case development, treatment management, and the demand preparation process.
Experience preparing and submitting settlement demand packages.
Experience working with document and case management systems.
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to manage a high-volume caseload.
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
Professional, courteous, and compassionate when interacting with clients, medical providers, insurance adjusters, and coworkers.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
Demonstrated commitment to providing exceptional customer service and maintaining consistent communication with clients throughout their cases.
Ability to prioritize competing responsibilities while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced legal environment.
Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to support the firm's mission of delivering outstanding legal representation and client care.
