Full Job Description

Job Summary:

The Bookkeeper is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the day-to-day accounting operations of the company. Working closely with the Controllers, this role processes accounts payable and receivable, performs account reconciliations, assists with month-end and year-end closing activities, and ensures the timely and accurate recording of financial transactions. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to work collaboratively with the finance, operations, and sales teams in a fast-paced scaffolding rental and sales environment.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Process accounts payable, including invoice verification, coding, and payment preparation.
Process accounts receivable, including customer invoicing, payment applications, collections support, and account reconciliations.
Perform daily bank and credit card reconciliations.
Maintain the general ledger by recording journal entries and ensuring the accuracy of financial records.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate discrepancies.
Support payroll processing by preparing and verifying payroll-related information.
Maintain fixed asset and equipment records as required.
Track rental revenue, sales transactions, and related customer accounts.
Assist with inventory and cost tracking for scaffolding sales and rental equipment.
Prepare reports for the Controllers, including aging reports, cash flow summaries, and financial analyses.
Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and applicable tax regulations.
Maintain organized electronic and physical accounting records.
Assist with internal and external audits by preparing requested documentation.
Collaborate with operations, sales, and project teams to resolve billing and accounting issues.
Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Diploma or degree in Accounting, Bookkeeping, Finance or a related field
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in bookkeeping or accounting
Experience in construction, equipment rental, or industrial services is preferred
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft office
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
