Full Job Description

The Project Manager is responsible for the overall direction, completion, and financial outcome of a construction project. Responsibilities, including but not limited to:

Overall responsibility for safety, quality, and budget for projects ranging in size, ensuring on time completion and within budget.
Direct reports include: Project Engineer, Office Staff, QC, and Safety.
Prepares project status reports and works to ensure work adheres to contract specifications
Communicate project information to site team including company executives
Directs and supervises work of project administration, project superintendents, and engineers to establish operation priorities and maintain satisfactory relationships
Establish/Define/Promote values, expectations, and performance standards for team and individual members in accordance with SDC’s mission, vision, and values
Create and execute project work plans
Assist the Operations Manager and project needs.
Effectively oversee subcontract management
Coach and develop staff
Implement and monitor Safety and Hazard communication programs
Monitor Quality Control and work in tandem with Site Superintendent
And other duties as assigned Job Requirements

BS in Civil Engineering or Construction Management a Plus. All related experience will be considered. Minimum 5-8 years of project experience in full site development and heavy/highway construction. Familiar with grading, drainage, paving (asphalt and concrete), retaining walls, and all other highway construction scopes. Must have excellent team building skills. Strong prioritization and organizational skills; detail-oriented, excellent verbal and written communication skills. Familiarity with Excel, Word, and HCSS a must. Position will require use of company vehicle, so clean MVR is required. Pay based on experience plus job based bonus.
