Full Job Description

Position Summary:

The Accounting Generalist will be responsible for the Accounting, AP, and AR functions at Iron Bear. The successful candidate will be extremely detailed and have effective communication skills to build and maintain business relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

Primary Responsibilities:

Accounting Responsibilities
Check daily invoices, enter, and pay invoices
Record daily deliveries and related expenses
Process credit applications
Accept customer payments
Make collection calls and emails for past due customers
Maintain sales tax exemption certificates
Process stored credit card payments
Enter vendor bills
Process vendor credits
Communicate vendor shortages, warranties, and claims
Enter company credit card transactions and reconcile monthly statements
Prepare monthly sales tax reports
Miscellaneous tasks/projects as assigned

Position Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
Outstanding computer skills, must be able to type 50 WPM or more
Must have 3-5 years of experience in accounting or finance
Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
NetSuite experience preferred
Must maintain confidentiality for sensitive and proprietary information
Must be extremely detailed oriented
Must work well under pressure and be able to multitask
Must be a self-starter and be able to work independently
Must maintain professional competence, ethical integrity, knowledge, and skills
Communicate and write effectively; read, comprehend, and follow verbal and written instructions
Establish and maintain effective work relationships within departments and throughout the company
Must have a sense of urgency and be willing to do what it takes to get the job done
Ability to assist other departments as needed
The selected candidate will be required to pass a background check and pre-employment drug test, including marijuana.

Physical Demands:

Regularly required to sit or stand, reach, bend, and move about the facility

Work Environment:

Usual office, warehouse, and manufacturing conditions will exist such as dust, lighting, noise, and temperature fluctuations
This position is full-time, 40 hours per week
This position is not remote

Required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned. Position responsibilities are subject to change.

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
