Full Job Description

Licensed Acupuncturist | Redmond Functional Health | East Lansing, MI

Grow your career within an established, collaborative integrative healthcare practice—without the expense, risk, and administrative burden of opening a standalone practice.

This opportunity is ideal for an acupuncturist who values independence, flexibility, and meaningful patient care, but wants the support and infrastructure of an established practice. You’ll have your own private treatment room within Redmond Functional Health, with the option to add additional treatment rooms as your practice grows.

You won’t be starting from zero. Redmond Functional Health has an established clientele, a waitlist, and patients specifically seeking care from our practice. You’ll have the opportunity to step into an existing flow of referrals and overflow patients while also developing your own patient base and clinical niche.

Start with patient demand already in place: Care for patients referred through Redmond Functional Health, including overflow from our existing waitlist, while continuing to build your own patient base.
Set your own schedule: Begin at approximately 2–2.5 days per week and have the flexibility to shape your schedule around your goals and availability.
Grow into full-time: As demand grows, there is a clear opportunity to expand your hours and role within the practice.
Clinical independence: Develop your own areas of expertise and approach to care while working within a collaborative, whole-person healthcare environment.
Established infrastructure: We provide the treatment space, systems, and operational foundation so you can spend your energy where it matters most—caring for patients.
Collaborative environment: Work alongside a team committed to integrative care, clinical excellence, and helping patients achieve lasting results.

About the Position

We’re seeking a part-time licensed acupuncturist to work approximately 2–2.5 days per week, with the opportunity to grow into a full-time schedule if desired.

Your primary patient base will come through referrals from Redmond Functional Health, including patients currently on our waitlist and those seeking acupuncture as part of their care. You’ll also have the opportunity to develop your own patient base through referrals, community relationships, and ongoing marketing support.

We’re open to both experienced practitioners and recent graduates with strong clinical skills, a commitment to learning, and a genuine passion for helping people heal.

We’re Looking for Someone Who Is:
– Licensed (or soon to be licensed) to practice acupuncture in Michigan
– Ideally has 2+ years of clinical experience, though outstanding new graduates are encouraged to apply!
– Warm, compassionate, and committed to providing exceptional patient care
– Organized, dependable, and detail-oriented
– A strong communicator who enjoys building meaningful relationships with patients
– Comfortable working independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team
– Excited to continue learning, growing, and refining their clinical skills

Experience or a strong interest in any of the following is a plus:

– Women’s health
– Fertility and reproductive health
– Hormone balance
– Digestive and gut health
– Stress, anxiety, and nervous system regulation
– Acute and chronic pain management
– Cosmetic acupuncture and/or microneedling (a bonus, but not required)

What You’ll Do:
– Provide exceptional acupuncture care under the Redmond Functional Health brand
– Complete timely charting within our electronic health record (EHR)
– Manage your own appointment schedule
– Handle patient communication and scheduling
– Collect payments and maintain accurate documentation
– Deliver a warm, professional patient experience from start to finish

Compensation:
Compensation is based on a percentage-of-collections model, allowing you to build a successful practice without the financial burden of paying office rent or managing the overhead of an independent clinic.

Rather than paying monthly rent, you’ll receive a competitive percentage of the revenue generated from the patients you treat while Redmond Functional Health provides the treatment space, systems, marketing, operational support, and patient referrals that help you grow.
