Full Job Description

A bookkeeping firm in Bowie, MD seeks a Part time bookkeeper who is a self-starter, dependable, willing to learn and manage a client’s financial information.

The applicant applying should be proficient in both or one- Sage and Quick Books Accounting Software.
Must be a people person.
Be dependable and punctual
Will be required to be the office assistant as needed
Have the ability to lift 25lbs
Requirements include but are not limited to posting A/R’s, A/P’s, adjusting journal entries, reconciling bank statements, and generating financial statements. Individual must be detailed oriented, versatile, have legible handwriting, needs skills to work quickly on 10-key adding machine, must be organized and prepared to maintain/file all clients records in an orderly and consistent manner.
Individual will be communicating with clients, client’s staff, as well as accountants and lawyers.
One must be able to work independently, local travel required, and work with many clients within a given day.
There can be marketing involved with potential commission to be earned for the right candidate.
