Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and energetic Body Shop Painter to join our dynamic automotive repair team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying high-quality paint finishes to vehicles that have undergone repairs or restorations. Your expertise will ensure each vehicle meets our rigorous standards for appearance and durability, contributing to customer satisfaction and vehicle safety. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your craftsmanship in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment dedicated to automotive excellence.

Duties

Prepare vehicle surfaces through sanding, masking, and surface cleaning to ensure optimal paint adhesion and finish quality
Use conventional spray guns, airless paint sprayers, and other power tools to apply primers, base coats, clear coats, and touch-up paints with precision
Perform surface repairs including dent filling, sanding, and auto body refinishing to restore vehicles to their original condition
Conduct auto restoration tasks such as welding, grinding, and mechanical adjustments as needed for seamless repairs
Maintain proper use of respiratory protection and other safety equipment during painting processes to ensure a safe work environment
Execute detailing tasks post-painting, including buffing and polishing to achieve a flawless finish

Skills

Proven dealership or automotive body shop experience demonstrating proficiency in auto body repair and painting techniques
Strong mechanical knowledge combined with experience using hand tools, grinders, sanders, and power tools for surface preparation and repairs
Expertise in automotive buffing, auto painting, and coating spray gun operation for high-quality finishes
Skilled in surface preparation masking, sanding, and applying automotive paints using airless or traditional spray methods
Knowledge of auto estimating procedures and customer service principles to support client interactions effectively
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while handling large vehicle parts or equipment during repairs
Experience with auto restoration projects involving detailed refinishing work and the use of automotive surface preparation techniques
