Director of Operations and Nursing
Location: Dallas, TX

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Executive Director of Nursing and Operations to oversee the daily operations of our private in-home care company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in geriatric nursing and operational leadership, with a proven understanding of profit and loss management, strategic direction, and team delegation necessary to meet company objectives. This role requires a purpose-driven leader who can implement the company vision while driving the company’s growth and maintaining the company’s operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Leadership and Management:

- Offer proven experience in managing $5 - $10M in revenue

- Provide strategic direction and leadership to the clinical and administrative teams to meet company goals.

- Lead and manage the daily operations of Home Health Companions, ensuring efficient, effective, and compliant service delivery from the care professional to the director of nursing

- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure high-quality client care and adherence to state licensing regulations

- Oversee hiring, training, and development of staff to build a competent and motivated team.

2. Profit and Loss Management:

- Work with the executive team to set and then meet attainable financial goals and objectives.

- Manage the company’ financial performance, including budget preparation, cost control, and revenue optimization ensuring that financial goals and objectives are met.

- Analyze profit and loss statements to identify areas of improvement and implement strategies to increase profitability.

- Collaborate with the finance team and CEO to develop financial plans and forecasts that align with the company’s strategic goals.

-Monitor and administer the company’s bonus and incentive plans

3. Strategic Direction:

- Work closely with the executive team to develop and execute the company’s strategic plan.

- Identify growth opportunities and develop initiatives to expand the company’s services and market reach.

- Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive landscape to ensure the company remains competitive and compliant.

4. Delegation and Team Management:

- Effectively delegate responsibilities to team members, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and within set deadlines.

- Foster a collaborative work environment where staff feel empowered and supported in their roles.

- Conduct regular team meetings to communicate company goals, review performance, and address any operational challenges.

- Offer training that enhances team skills

5. Quality Assurance and Compliance:

- Able to operate business in alignment with internal policy and procedures in accordance with Home Health Companions

- Ensure that all services provided meet or exceed regulatory and accreditation standards.

- Implement quality assurance programs to continuously improve client care and operational efficiency.

- Address and resolve any compliance or quality issues in a timely manner.

6. Client and Family Relations:

- Promote a client-centered approach to care, ensuring that clients and their families are treated with respect and compassion.

- Address client and family concerns and complaints promptly, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration (MSN, MHA) preferred.

- Licensure: Active RN license in the state of Texas or Compact License

- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of nursing leadership experience with proven ability to drive revenue.

- Skills:

- Strong understanding of financial management, including profit and loss analysis.

- Proven ability to develop and execute strategic plans.

- Excellent leadership, communication, and delegation skills.

- In-depth knowledge of home health regulations and compliance requirements.

- Ability to accurately assess client needs, develop protocols, create and monitor care plans.

- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
