Company Overview

Honor Ridge Academy is a New Jersey Department of Education approved private school dedicated to supporting students with emotional and behavioral disabilities, ranging from ages 6 to 21. Our mission is to provide a nurturing and structured environment where every student can thrive.

Summary

We are seeking a Special Education Aide to join our team at Honor Ridge Academy. In this role, you will work closely with teachers and support staff to assist students with emotional and behavioral challenges, helping them achieve their educational goals in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities

Assist teachers in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) for students.
Support students in their daily activities and academic tasks.
Help manage classroom behavior and promote a positive learning environment.
Collaborate with staff to develop engaging lesson plans and activities.
Provide one-on-one support to students as needed during lessons and transitions.
Monitor student progress and report observations to the teaching staff.

Requirements

Experience or education in special education or related fields is preferred.
Strong understanding of working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Familiarity with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies.
Ability to adapt lesson plans and activities to meet the needs of diverse learners.
