Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with experience in fine dining and food service environments. This role involves preparing high-quality dishes, maintaining food safety standards, and ensuring an exceptional dining experience for our guests. Candidates with dietary department or dietary aide experience are encouraged to apply, as well as those with a background in menu planning and catering. This position offers an opportunity to develop culinary skills within a professional kitchen setting.

Duties

Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards
Assist in menu planning and ingredient selection to ensure quality and consistency
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety protocols
Handle food with care, ensuring proper food handling and storage procedures are followed
Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and other culinary tools
Support catering events by preparing dishes for large groups and special occasions
Serve dishes promptly and professionally to ensure guest satisfaction
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during service hours
Assist with meal preparation for dietary needs, ensuring compliance with dietary guidelines

Skills

Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant settings
Strong knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation techniques
Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
Experience in menu planning, catering, or fine dining environments is preferred
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team
Culinary experience that demonstrates creativity and professionalism in food presentation
