Full Job Description

Eye Love Care is an optometry practice dedicated to the underserved population in our community. If you are looking to make a difference in the lives of children, Eye Love Care is the place for you!

We are a growing company currently hiring optometry technicians for our In-School services in the Denver metro and surrounding areas on multiple teams.

We are looking for outgoing team members who are passionate about their community and can work well with children. We are looking for candidates with experience as an optometry technician or receptionist experience in an optometry or medical office.

**Candidates must be bilingual Spanish speaking**

Eye Love Care provides full eye exams and glasses for students at various Schools as well as various facilities in a mobile optometry capacity within the Denver region as well as nearby communities.

We are hiring for multiple teams that will be working in schools. Some candidates will be hired for a specific Denver area region, but we are also hiring for a team that will be traveling all over the Denver metro area.

Position work occurs primarily during the school year, but there will be time off during school breaks; however, our teams make calls "Glasses Wellness Checks" during summer break to patients who received glasses.

After calls are done, team members are furloughed until the beginning of the school year which is mid-August. Temporary job attached unemployment benefits are available.

Responsibilities:

Performing as an Optometry technician after training.
Scheduling student patients for an eye exam at each school from intakes.
Entering patient demographics and medical history into the electronic medical record.
Learning eyewear and fitting frames to patients.
Eyeglass ordering from eyeglass laboratory.
Working with Optomap imaging.
Working closely with doctors, team manager, and team members.
Traveling to different schools as scheduled within the Denver or Aurora area, depending on which team you are hired for, will be required as each event only lasts two to three days.
Packing and unpacking equipment for each multi-day event.
Position hours are typically Monday-Friday. Start and end times will vary potentially within the hours of 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, depending on school schedules and work to be completed.
Candidate must be flexible about not working or working reduced hours when school is out for holidays/breaks.
Daily preparation of patient information and set up for the next day's event.
Calling guardians of patients to check on glasses. "Glasses Wellness Checks," this takes place at the end of the school year and possibly during Spring Break.
Candidate must be adaptable to new training and changing Eye Love Care standards as the company evolves.
Flexibility and adaptability are needed for this position due to the mobile nature of each event.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 1 year of experience in a medical or optometry office.
Optometry technician experience preferred.
Candidates must be willing and able to work with children.
Candidates must be able to pass a background check.
Must be able to legally work in the U.S.
Bilingual Spanish required.
Candidates for this position must be highly organized team players.

Eye Love Care offers full benefits after 60 full days of employment and a 401k with employer matching after one year of employment.

Pay: $24.00 - $25.00 per hour
