Full Job Description

Job Overview
Spring Hill State Bank is seeking a detail oriented and customer focused Mortgage Loan Processor to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in helping customers achieve homeownership by ensuring loan files are accurate, complete, and ready for underwriting and closing.

Responsibilities

Review residential mortgage loan applications and supporting documentation for completeness and accuracy.
Communicate with borrowers, loan officers, title companies, insurance agents, and other third parties throughout the loan process.
Collect and verify required documentation
Monitor loan files to ensure compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements.
Order and track appraisals, title work, flood certifications, homeowner's insurance, and other required items.
Identify and resolve documentation deficiencies and processing issues in a timely manner.
Maintain accurate loan records and provide regular status updates to borrowers and loan officers.
Assist in preparing files for underwriting approval and loan closing.
Deliver exceptional customer service while guiding borrowers through the mortgage process.

Qualifications

Recommended previous mortgage processing, banking, or financial services experience preferred.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple loan files simultaneously.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and loan origination software is preferred.
Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
