Full Job Description

NK Cabinets, Inc. specializes in full-service custom cabinets from conception to manufacturingfull-servicefull-timeNK Cabinets, Inc. specializes in full services custom cabinets from conception, to manufacturing, and installation.

We are hiring for a full time Drafter position.

SUMMARY

The Drafter will use an architect’s specifications to create detailed drawings for cabinetry projects.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Cross-referencing the contract and the plans
To produce shop drawings on cabinet vision engineering software including:
Finish schedule
Hardware
Equipment
Floor plan / elevations/ sections
To do revisions from customers red notes and notify any major changes to the engineer for a change order.
Review and interpret architectural drawings and engineering specifications.
Scheduling with the engineers to prioritize the jobs accordingly
Create transmittals
Order samples
Scan all the field measurements & upload in CrowsNest (ERP software).

· Submits drawings to supervisor and engineer to evaluate their work.

· Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

· Be able to read architectural plans.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members and conveying draft related information.
Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality draft work.
Excellent problem-solving skills.
Extensive knowledge of software and other architectural drafting tools.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency with computers, including MS Office and Adobe is required.
Preferred qualifications include the ability to work effectively under pressure and strong Communication Skills

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High school diploma
Bachelor’s in mechanical engineering is required for an intern.
2-4 years experience in related field a plus, but not required.
Drafting: 2 year (plus, but not required for intern)
Cabinet vision: 2 years (plus, but not required for intern)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

· Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

· Sitting, standing, bending, moving, reaching, as required for position.

· Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times.

Applicant should have Experience with AutoCAD: however, we are willing to train the right candidate.

Proficiency with computers, including MS Office and Adobe is required. The candidate should have the ability to review and interpret architectural drawings and engineering specifications. Preferred qualifications include the ability to work effectively under pressure and strong Communication Skills.
