Full Job Description

About the Role

We are hiring a Senior Salesforce Implementation Trainer to support a major Salesforce rollout for Los Angeles County, representing approximately 40% of the statewide caseload. This is not a corporate L&D role. It is for someone who has trained large, diverse user populations on complex IT systems and can operate confidently in public-sector environments.

You will deliver onsite instructor-led training, support hybrid learning, guide users through Salesforce workflows, and provide hands-on floor support during go-live. This role requires a California-based trainer who is comfortable working across multiple LA County offices.

Not a Fit For This Role

Please do not apply if your background is primarily:

Corporate L&D without IT implementation experience
Salesforce admin work without end-user training delivery
Helpdesk, desktop support, or break/fix roles
QA testing, cybersecurity, or data analytics
Classroom teaching without enterprise system training
Healthcare (Epic/Cerner) training
Community health education or nonprofit outreach
This role requires enterprise SaaS training experience, not general training experience.

Minimum Qualifications (MQs)

Candidates must have all of the following:

MQ1 – Large-Scale IT Training Experience

At least 2 years (within the last 5 years) delivering onsite and/or hybrid training for large-scale IT implementation projects (e.g., enterprise SaaS, CRM, case management systems, HCM, ERP, or other complex platforms).

MQ2 – Training Material Development

At least 2 years (within the last 10 years) designing and developing training materials (job aids, guides, presentations, tutorials) for IT system rollouts.

MQ3 – Salesforce Training Experience

Demonstrated ability to train end users on Salesforce functionality (not admin work, not self-study, not support tickets).

MQ4 – Location Requirement

Must be based in California and available for regular onsite travel across Los Angeles County.

Nice to Have

Experience in child welfare, health and human services, or public-sector environments
Experience providing onsite floor support during go-live
Experience facilitating hybrid learning environments
Familiarity with organizational change management (OCM)

What You Will Do

Training Delivery and Facilitation

Deliver onsite instructor-led training for end users
Facilitate hybrid training sessions with both in-person and virtual participants
Tailor training for executives, supervisors, and frontline staff
Demonstrate Salesforce functionality and guide users through hands-on workflows

Onsite Support and Go-Live Readiness

Provide floor support during go-live, answering real-time questions
Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Production Simulation
Assist with user access, training environments, and system setup
Offer post-training support including office hours, refresher sessions, and over-the-shoulder coaching

Training Materials and Documentation

Develop participant guides, job aids, quick reference materials, presentations, and recorded tutorials
Maintain FAQs, knowledge articles, and user support materials
Update content based on system enhancements, policy changes, and user feedback

Leadership and Coordination

Serve as a lead trainer and mentor to junior trainers and proctors
Coordinate training across multiple LA County sites
Support training strategy, logistics, scheduling, and reporting
Ensure consistency in messaging, delivery, and user support

Stakeholder Engagement

Collaborate with KPMG, county leadership, OCM teams, and functional teams
Communicate training progress, attendance, readiness, and adoption metrics
Identify training needs and adjust delivery methods for different user groups

Work Location and Travel

Must reside in California.
Regular onsite work across Los Angeles County.
Hybrid remote/onsite schedule depending on training needs.

Pay: $75,000.00 per year
