We are hiring a Safety Specialist for a 4–6 month construction project in Jeffersonville, IN.

This is a strong opportunity for an experienced construction safety professional who can support jobsite safety, OSHA compliance, safety training, inspections, documentation, and daily field coordination.

The ideal candidate has a strong construction background, understands OSHA requirements, and is comfortable working directly with field teams, supervisors, subcontractors, and project leadership to maintain a safe, compliant jobsite.

What You’ll Get

We Should Talk If You Have Experience With

What You’ll Do

As a Safety Specialist, you will help maintain a safe and compliant construction site by supporting daily safety activities, inspections, training, documentation, and field communication.

Responsibilities include:

Conduct daily jobsite safety walks, inspections, and hazard assessments
Monitor construction activities for compliance with OSHA standards, company policies, and project safety requirements
Identify unsafe conditions and work with field teams to correct issues quickly
Lead or support toolbox talks, safety meetings, and jobsite safety orientations
Review and support JHAs, JSAs, permits, and safety documentation
Assist with incident reporting, near-miss reporting, investigations, and corrective actions
Monitor PPE compliance, fall protection, equipment safety, housekeeping, and safe work practices
Communicate safety concerns with supervisors, subcontractors, and project leadership
Maintain accurate safety records, reports, inspection logs, and training documentation
Support a proactive safety culture across the project site

What We’re Looking For

Required qualifications:

Construction safety experience required
Strong understanding of OSHA standards and jobsite safety practices
Experience performing safety inspections, audits, and field observations
Ability to identify hazards and communicate corrective actions clearly
Experience working with construction crews, subcontractors, and project teams
Strong documentation, communication, and follow-up skills
Ability to work full-time onsite in Jeffersonville, IN for the contract duration

Preferred qualifications:

OSHA 30 certification strongly preferred
Advanced OSHA or safety certifications preferred
OSHA 500, OSHA 510, CHST, STSC, CSP, or similar certifications are a plus
Experience with commercial, industrial, manufacturing, warehouse, distribution, or large construction projects preferred
First Aid/CPR certification preferred

Schedule

Full-time
4–6 month contract assignment
Day shift schedule
Overtime may be available based on project needs

Compensation

Pay is up to $40.00 per hour, based on safety experience, construction background, certifications, and project fit.
