Full Job Description

An established private psychotherapy practice serving the Hunterdon County community for more than 20 years is seeking a compassionate, experienced, and fully licensed therapist (LCSW or LPC) to join our collaborative team.

This position offers the opportunity to build a meaningful caseload of adult and young adult clients while enjoying administrative support, professional autonomy, and consultation with seasoned clinicians.

Schedule

Monday through Friday
9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Caseload of approximately 25 clients

Clinical Focus

We are seeking a clinician with experience and interest in working with adults and young adults experiencing:

Parenting challenges, including parenting children with special needs
Life transitions and adjustment issues
Work-life balance and stress management
Caregiving for aging parents and family members
Generalized anxiety
Depression
Relationship concerns
Other common mental health needs

Responsibilities

The therapist will be responsible for:

Conducting comprehensive intake assessments
Completing psychosocial evaluations, family histories, and genograms
Establishing clinical goals and developing individualized treatment plans
Providing individual psychotherapy services
Maintaining timely and accurate clinical documentation
Utilizing SimplePractice for scheduling, documentation, and record management
Completing discharge summaries upon termination of treatment
Maintaining ethical and professional standards in accordance with licensing requirements

Qualifications

Current New Jersey license as an LCSW or LPC
Experience providing psychotherapy to adults and/or young adults
Strong assessment, treatment planning, and documentation skills
Ability to work independently while collaborating with colleagues as needed
Comfortable using electronic health record systems (SimplePractice experience preferred)

Practice Support

Our practice provides:

Administrative support
Initial client screening and intake coordination
Referrals to build and maintain your caseload
Scheduling support through SimplePractice
Payment processing and monitoring of receipts
Consultation, mentoring, and collaboration opportunities with experienced therapists

For more than 20 years, our practice has provided high-quality psychotherapy services to individuals and families throughout Hunterdon County. We are committed to creating a supportive environment for both clients and clinicians, emphasizing professionalism, collaboration, and clinical excellence.
