Full Job Description

Who we are:

We are a plaintiff Personal Injury and Mass Tort law firm that has handled numerous high-profile cases across the United States, including involvement in cases securing in excess of 3 billion in settlements and awards. The firm represents clients in mass torts cases, toxic torts cases, personal injury, medical malpractice, construction accidents, defective products, dangerous medications, consumer fraud, 9/11 VCF claims, and product liability cases.

We are looking for an experienced paralegal to join our Pennsylvania office.

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Personal Injury Paralegal with 3 - 5+ years of experience to join our Pennsylvania legal team. As a Personal Injury Paralegal, you will provide crucial support to our attorneys handling personal injury cases. Your responsibilities will include legal drafting, research, client communication, case management, and other administrative tasks as needed. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong organizational skills, keen attention to details and a passion for the legal field.

Candidates without the required experience will not be considered.

Responsibilities:

· Conduct legal research and draft legal documents including pleadings, discovery requests, and discovery responses;

· Organize and manage case files, including indexing and summarizing documents and deposition transcripts;

· Maintain client files and prepare materials for client meetings;

· Communicate with clients via phone;

· Schedule depositions, hearings, and mediations;

· Assist with other tasks as assigned by attorneys;

· Effectively communicate with clients and court offices;

· Submit court filings as required, mailed or e-filing;

· Independently track deadlines from intake to case resolution.

Qualification:

· 3-5 years of personal injury or related experience;

· Paralegal Studies Certificate, or Associate degree;

· Experience with drafting legal documents, including complaints, motions, and discovery responses, affidavits;

· Experience requesting, reading, and interpreting medical records;

· A self-starter who can take initiative to work with little supervision, be extremely organized, and very detail oriented;

· Ability to multi-task effectively and prioritize incoming work to meet deadlines;

· A strong understanding of New York state and federal rules of court ;

· Excellent communication skills, written and verbal;

· Ability to work in an office setting and as part of a team;

· Proficient in legal research using LexisNexis, and other legal research tools.

· Knowledge of Filevine and Monday.com is a plus.
