Full Job Description

Marbridge is a long-term residential care facility for adults with intellectual disabilities, offering a full spectrum of services tailored to individual needs and abilities. We provide our residents with opportunities to learn, experience, and achieve a whole new life.

Marbridge is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring the safety, well-being, and happiness of our residents by maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. The Housekeeper reports to the Housekeeping Manager and plays a vital part in helping residents thrive and reach their full potential.

Pay and Benefits:

$15.00 an hour

Qualifications and Skills:

High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to read, write, and follow oral instructions in English
Minimum of one year of experience as a commercial housekeeper or custodian
Knowledge of OSHA Blood-borne Pathogen Standards and proper handling procedures

Physical Demands

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, walking, and sitting for extended periods
Normal range of hearing and vision required
Ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions

Key Responsibilities

Provide housekeeping services for resident rooms, laundry rooms, offices, and common areas
Perform routine deep cleaning of bathrooms, carpets, vents, windows, blinds, walls, and doors
Prepare rooms for newly admitted residents
Remove trash and maintain dumpster receptacles
Strip, wax, and buff tile floors as scheduled
Maintain equipment and supplies within budget guidelines
Follow all safety procedures and report hazards promptly
Attend staff meetings, in-service training, and other required activities
Support organizational activities as assigned by the Housekeeping Manager
