Full Job Description

Kline & Company CPA, PC provides a wide range of tax and accounting services to federal government contractors. We are known for the integrity of our professional accounting and services and our clients consider us experts in helping them achieve and maintain compliance with the government’s regulations regarding accounting for federal contract awards. Now in our 32nd year, our firm has consistently been voted ‘Best Accounting Firm’ in Nashua for 22 years running. We are currently seeking a Full Time Tax Accountant to join our team due to continued growth of our firm and the increased demand for our services.

Position & Responsibilities

This full-time position reports to the company’s Tax Manager. This position plays an important role in the overall integrity and delivery of our tax services.

Primary responsibilities include:

Prepare book workpapers and related journal adjustments, tax workpapers and tax returns
Assist with miscellaneous tasks and client requests outside of standard tax prep as needed
Conduct GAAP and Tax research
Support other accounting and tax-related projects as needed

Qualifications

Associates (required) or Bachelor's degree (preferred) in Accounting, Finance or a related field
No prior tax experience required, this is an entry-level role, and we'll train you on our processes and tax prep specifics
Strong attention to detail and accuracy when working with numbers and data
A coachable mindset, genuinely open to feedback, and willing to ask questions; we'll teach you the technical side of tax prep, but we need someone who wants to learn and grows with each round of feedback
Reliable and professional, with follow-through on commitments
Comfortable learning new accounting and tax software (e.g. tax prep software, QuickBooks, etc.); we'll walk you through our systems, but you should be comfortable picking up new tools
Takes initiative and asks good questions rather than waiting to be told what to do, you'll be fully trained and supported, but we're looking for someone who leans in and stays organized enough to juggle multiple tasks and deadlines, especially during busy season

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
