Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Bookkeeper to join our team. In this vital role, you will support the accurate and timely management of financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal policies. Your expertise will help maintain the integrity of our financial data, contribute to smooth bookkeeping operations, and assist in preparing essential financial reports. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about accounting and eager to grow their skills within a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions efficiently, ensuring timely payments and collections.
Support payroll processing activities, including data entry and verification of payroll records.
Utilize various accounting software such as QuickBooks Online, Xero, Sage, and Quicken to manage financial data accurately.

Qualifications

Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles with familiarity in general ledger reconciliation and account analysis.
Strong proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks (including QuickBooks Online), Xero, Sage, and other financial systems.
Knowledge of accounting standards (GAAP), double-entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, journal entries, and bank reconciliation procedures.
Experience with payroll processing and tax-related activities is highly desirable.
Excellent skills in spreadsheets (Excel or similar) for data management and report writing.
Ability to perform 10-key typing accurately for data entry tasks.
Strong understanding of financial concepts including account reconciliation, account analysis, and technical accounting practices.
