About Dawson Cole Fine Art
Established in 1993, Dawson Cole Fine Art specializes in Contemporary and Modern sculpture, drawings, prints, and unique works on paper by American and European masters. The gallery represents one of the largest collections of sculpture by Richard MacDonald and also showcases works by established and emerging traditional and contemporary painters.

Dawson Cole Fine Art is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Administrative & Marketing Assistant to support the day-to-day operations and marketing initiatives of our Carmel gallery. This position is ideal for someone with professional experience in both administration and marketing who enjoys working in a collaborative small business environment. We are looking for someone who is comfortable taking ownership of responsibilities and contributing from the start.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both organization and creative work and takes pride in keeping projects, systems, and details running smoothly behind the scenes.

The right candidate is dependable, calm under pressure, takes initiative, works well independently, and enjoys wearing multiple hats in a small business environment.

Responsibilities

Administrative support and internal coordination
CRM and database management (Salesforce experience preferred)
Inventory reporting and record management
Office organization and supply management
Project coordination and follow-up
Website updates and content management
Email marketing campaign preparation and execution
Social media management, content scheduling, and performance reporting
Creation of marketing graphics and short-form video content using Canva, CapCut, or similar tools
Digital asset and file organization
Marketing calendar coordination
Assisting with gallery projects including artwork placement, lighting adjustments, and exhibition preparation
Occasional errands, deliveries, and general gallery operations

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

At least 3 years of professional administrative or office support experience
At least 2 years of paid professional marketing experience as part of a business or organizational role.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
Experience managing multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
Experience with social media management, email marketing, and website content updates.
Strong computer skills and the ability to quickly learn new software.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Salesforce or another CRM.
Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, or similar design tools.
Experience with Mailchimp, Constant Contact, ActiveCampaign, or similar email platforms.
Experience supporting a small business or entrepreneurial organization.
Luxury retail, gallery, hospitality, or client service experience.

Professional Experience:
For this position, marketing experience refers to paid professional responsibilities performed as part of a business or organizational role. Personal projects, volunteer work, or marketing performed solely for family or friends may be helpful, but do not substitute for the required professional marketing experience.

Compensation

$25-$30 per hour depending on experience and qualifications.

Schedule

Part-time position, approximately 20-30 hours per week
Primarily weekdays during normal business hours
Some flexibility in schedule and days worked is available for the right candidate based on gallery needs.
This is a fully on-site position. Applicants should live within commuting distance of Carmel or be willing to relocate at their own expense.
