Job Title: Kitchen Expeditor

The hotel offers 9 guest rooms, a café and lounge, curated programming including musical performances, panels, and the opportunity for additional events and full buy-outs. We pride ourselves on delivering a luxury and personalized experience for our guests, rooted in the inspiration and beauty found in the Berkshires.

Job Description: The Kitchen Expo plays a vital role in the kitchen operations, ensuring that food orders are prepared and delivered to the dining area efficiently and accurately. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, coordinating between the kitchen and front-of-house staff.

Responsibilities:

Order Coordination: Ensure all food orders are prepared in a timely manner and match the specifications of the orders.
Communication: Act as a liaison between kitchen staff and front of house, passing on information clearly and efficiently to guarantee customer satisfaction.
Quality Control: Inspect dishes prior to serving to ensure they meet the restaurant's quality standards for presentation and taste.
Organization: Maintain a clean and organized expo area, ensuring all necessary tools and supplies are readily available for kitchen staff.
Inventory Management: Assist in monitoring inventory levels of kitchen supplies and communicate any shortages to the kitchen manager.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with chefs, cooks, and servers to ensure smooth kitchen operations and prompt service.
Problem-Solving: Address any issues or discrepancies with orders immediately and effectively, ensuring minimal disruption to service.
Health and Safety Compliance: Follow all health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and safe working environment.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment - hospitality or customer service role preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under pressure.
A team player with a proactive and positive attitude.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
