Full Job Description

Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our construction team. Would need to be able to estimate for Site work, Excavating, Demo, Sewer, Water and Drainage. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in project planning by accurately assessing costs, preparing bids, and supporting project proposals. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse construction projects, utilizing your expertise in estimating and project management to contribute to successful project delivery. Candidates should possess strong analytical skills, construction site experience, and proficiency with industry-standard estimating tools.

Duties

Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects using other estimating software.
Analyze project plans, specifications, and contract documents to determine scope of work and material requirements.
Assist in the development of bid proposals, including scope of work, cost breakdowns, and schedules.
Review contracts and change orders to ensure compliance with project specifications and budget constraints.
Support construction management teams by providing accurate estimates that facilitate effective project planning and execution.
Maintain organized records of all estimating documentation for future reference and audits.

Skills

Proficiency with Excel and Takeaway for plan review and markup.
Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable pricing terms.
In-depth knowledge of construction estimating processes, including takeoffs, pricing, and bid preparation.
Construction site experience to better understand on-the-ground realities affecting costs.
Familiarity with construction management practices, contracts, and project scheduling.
Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with internal teams and external partners.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate estimate development. This position provides a vital link between project planning and execution, ensuring projects are financially viable while meeting client expectations through precise estimation practices.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
