Job Summary
OrthoCenter is seeking an experienced Front Desk & Scheduling Manager to oversee patient-facing operations across our locations. This role ensures smooth front desk workflows, accurate scheduling, and an exceptional patient experience. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator with leadership experience in a medical practice setting who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise front desk and scheduling staff, including training, performance oversight, and daily workflow coordination
Ensure consistent, professional patient interactions at check‑in, check‑out, and across all phone queues
Manage daily provider schedules, optimize appointment templates, and resolve scheduling conflicts
Oversee patient registration accuracy, insurance verification processes, and adherence to HIPAA
Maintain staffing coverage, schedules, and cross‑training for all front desk and scheduling functions
Monitor phone queue performance, wait times, and access metrics to improve patient experience
Partner with clinical teams to ensure smooth patient flow and efficient daily operations
Handle escalated patient concerns and service issues professionally
Maintain standard operating procedures for all front desk and scheduling processes
Support onboarding of new administrative staff and collaborate with HR on performance issues

Qualifications

Experience supervising front desk, scheduling, or administrative teams in a healthcare setting
Strong knowledge of medical scheduling workflows and patient access best practices
Proficiency with medical EMR systems; eClinicalWorks (eCW) preferred
Excellent communication, leadership, and customer service skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy, multi‑provider practice
Strong organization, problem‑solving ability, and attention to detail
