Part-Time Construction & Remodeling HelperJob Summary

RPH Construction LLC is looking for a dependable Part-Time Construction & Remodeling Helper to join our team.

We are looking for someone who has construction or remodeling experience or someone who has basic knowledge, is mechanically inclined, and is willing to learn. Experience is preferred, but it is not required for the right person.

Our projects vary and may include residential, commercial, and government work throughout Northwestern Pennsylvania. This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys working with their hands, takes pride in quality workmanship, follows direction, and wants to continue developing their construction skills.

We are looking for someone who is dependable, willing to work, shows up when scheduled, respects our customers and their property, and wants to be part of a team that cares about doing the job correctly.

Responsibilities

Assist with residential and commercial construction and remodeling projects.
Assist with kitchens, bathrooms, doors, windows, drywall, flooring, tile, trim, cabinets, and general construction and repair work.
Safely use hand tools and power tools based on experience and training.
Assist with demolition, material handling, job-site setup, cleanup, and organization.
Follow direction from the foreman and experienced team members.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Treat customers' homes, businesses, equipment, and property with care and respect.
Be willing to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities as your ability and experience develop.

Qualifications

Previous construction or remodeling experience is preferred but not required.
Basic construction knowledge or mechanical ability is a plus.
Willingness to learn, take direction, and improve your skills.
Dependable and able to report to scheduled job sites on time.
Comfortable performing physical construction and remodeling work.
Comfortable using basic hand and power tools or willing to learn their proper use.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Must be willing and able to travel to different project locations throughout Northwestern Pennsylvania.

Schedule

This is currently a part-time, as-needed position. Hours will vary based on project scheduling and current workload.

Some weeks may require up to 40 hours, while other weeks may have reduced hours or no scheduled work. Weekly hours are not guaranteed.

For the right person, there may be opportunities for increased hours and the potential to transition into a regular full-time position based on performance, project volume, and company needs.

Pay

$15.00–$20.00 per hour, based on construction/remodeling experience, knowledge, and demonstrated ability.

Someone with little experience who requires training would generally start toward the lower end of the range, while applicants with proven construction and remodeling skills may qualify for a higher starting rate.

Work Location

This is an on-the-road position with work performed at various project locations throughout Northwestern Pennsylvania, including the Meadville, Erie, North East, Franklin, Oil City, and surrounding areas.

Applicants must be comfortable traveling to different job sites as projects require.

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
