Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Dance Instructor and Choreographer to inspire students of all ages and skill levels through engaging dance education and innovative choreography. This role offers an exciting opportunity to foster creativity, develop comprehensive dance curricula, and cultivate a love for movement in diverse learning environments. The ideal candidate will bring energy, expertise, and a collaborative spirit to help students achieve their artistic goals while promoting confidence and discipline. We are looking for a candidate who has a strong passion for musical theater as well as ballet, tap and jazz.

Responsibilities

Design and implement comprehensive dance curricula tailored to various age groups, skill levels, and styles including ballet, theater dance, and contemporary forms.
Lead engaging dance classes that motivate students, ensuring a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere.
Develop choreography for performances, recitals, and special events that showcase students’ talents and progress.
Manage classroom behavior effectively by employing strong behavior management techniques and fostering respectful interactions.
Adapt teaching methods to accommodate students with special needs or early childhood education requirements, ensuring accessible instruction for all learners.
Incorporate multimedia tools such as photography and video recording to document performances and track student progress.
Collaborate with parents, caregivers, or educational staff to support student development in both dance skills and personal growth.

Experience

Proven experience in teaching dance across diverse age groups, including school age children, and preschoolers.
Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management within a dance or arts education setting.
Background in ballet, theater arts, or related performance disciplines with additional skills in choreography creation.
Familiarity with working with children, early childhood education practices, and special education strategies to ensure inclusive instruction.
Experience in managing classroom behavior effectively while fostering a motivating environment for learners of all backgrounds.

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
