About American Supply
American Supply is a wholesale distributor of welding and industrial supplies serving customers across Latin America and the Caribbean. We stock and export consumables, abrasives, welding machines, and safety products from leading manufacturers, and we are actively building our own private label product line.
The Role
This is not a desk job posting graphics to social media. This is a hands-on technical marketing role for someone who is comfortable putting on steel-toe boots, walking the warehouse aisles with a clipboard and a camera, and turning what is physically on our shelves into professional product content that closes export sales.
You will own three things that do not exist here yet: a complete technical data sheet library, our private label packaging program, and our in-house product photography. On top of that, you will run the customer-facing marketing that puts those assets to work — email campaigns, website content, and sales collateral.
If you like the idea of building a product content function from zero and seeing your work go out on real product that ships to twenty countries, this is a strong fit.
Core Responsibilities
1. Technical Data Sheets
Build and maintain the product specification library from the ground up.
- Create technical data sheets for our product lines — welding electrodes and wire, abrasives and cutting tools, welding machines, gas equipment, and safety products
- Source specifications from manufacturer documentation, verify them against physical product in the warehouse, and translate them into a consistent AMSU-branded format
- Produce every data sheet in both English and Spanish
- Cover the details that matter to industrial buyers: amperage ranges, tensile strength, AWS classifications, grit and dimension specs, material compatibility, packaging quantities, and handling requirements
- Keep sheets tied to our internal item numbers so sales, warehouse, and marketing are all referencing the same product
- Maintain a version-controlled library so the sales team always pulls current documentation
2. Private Label Packaging
Own the packaging program for AMSU-branded product, end to end.
- Design label and packaging artwork for products we private label — boxes, cans, spools, tubes, and cartons
- Prepare press-ready files to vendor specification: bleeds, dielines, color profiles, and print proofs
- Manage barcodes and UPC assignment, and confirm every code scans correctly against our inventory system before a print run is approved
- Ensure packaging carries required information for export markets — country of origin, product identification, handling and safety marks, and Spanish-language copy where required
- Coordinate directly with packaging and print vendors on quotes, proofs, timelines, and production runs
- Maintain the master artwork-to-SKU map so every private label item has one approved, current design on file
- Partner with the warehouse and purchasing teams so packaging arrives ahead of the product it goes on
3. Product Photography
Bring product photography in-house and build the image library.
- Shoot our catalog in-house using a light box and studio lighting setup — individual products, packaging, and application shots
- Establish and hold a consistent standard: clean white background, standardized angles, scale references, and detail shots of markings and specifications
- Edit and retouch images to a professional, catalog-ready finish
- Name and organize every image file against our internal item numbers, and maintain the digital asset library so sales, website, and email all pull from one source
- Deliver images in the sizes and formats each channel needs — web, print, email, and customer-facing quotes
- Capture warehouse, facility, and team photography for company and recruiting use
4. Email Marketing & Campaigns
- Own our email marketing platform — building, scheduling, and sending campaigns to a segmented customer list
- Plan and execute monthly promotional campaigns around featured brands, new arrivals, and inventory we need to move
- Write campaign copy in English and Spanish
- Maintain list hygiene and segmentation by customer type, territory, and product interest
- Report on open rates, click-through, and which campaigns actually generated quote requests
5. Website & Digital Content
- Maintain and expand product content on the AMSU website — brand pages, product categories, and downloadable catalogs
- Keep website product information synchronized with the data sheets and photography you produce
- Manage the Spanish-language version of site content
- Monitor site analytics and flag what customers are actually searching for
6. Sales Support & Collateral
- Produce flyers, line cards, brand sheets, and promotional materials the sales team can send directly to customers
- Build brand-specific and territory-specific collateral for our Latin America and Caribbean accounts
- Support trade show and customer visit materials
- Work alongside inside sales and the Admin Coordinator so marketing materials reflect current pricing, stock, and lead times
7. Warehouse Product Immersion
You cannot market what you do not understand. This role includes real time on the floor.
- Spend structured time in the warehouse learning the product lines, brands, and how items are organized by bin location
- Handle and inspect product directly — you should be able to explain the difference between two electrodes without looking it up
- Work with the warehouse team on barcode labeling, packaging changes, and product identification
- Flag product identification and labeling gaps you find while working through the catalog
What You Need
- Bilingual English/Spanish — fully fluent, written and spoken. Our customer base is Latin America and the Caribbean. This is not negotiable.
- Graphic design capability — Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, or Canva at a professional level. You will be asked to show work.
- Product photography skills — you can operate a camera in manual mode, set up lighting, and edit images. Formal training is not required; a portfolio is.
- Strong written communication — you can write clearly about technical products in both languages.
- Detail orientation — a wrong specification on a data sheet or a barcode that will not scan creates real problems downstream.
- Comfort in a warehouse environment — this role involves being on the floor regularly, handling product, and occasional lifting. Steel-toe boots required for warehouse time.
- Microsoft Office proficiency — especially Excel for managing product data.
- Self-direction — you are building this function from scratch. You need to be able to work from a priority list without daily supervision.
Nice to Have
- Experience in industrial, construction, or B2B distribution marketing
- Familiarity with welding, metalworking, abrasives, or industrial consumables
- Prior work with packaging design, print production, or barcode/UPC systems
- Email marketing platform experience (Mailchimp, HubSpot, or similar)
- Basic website content management experience
- Experience with export documentation or international product requirements
Why This Role Is Worth Your Time
- You are building something that does not exist yet, not maintaining someone else's system
- Your work goes on physical product that ships internationally — not just on a screen
- Direct access to leadership. Small company, short decision path, no layers of approval
- A genuinely rare combination of technical product knowledge, design, photography, and marketing execution in a single role

- $49,000–$59,000 annually, based on experience and portfolio
- Health insurance
- 401(k) eligible
- Paid time off and holidays
- On-site position, Monday–Friday, Doral FL
