This job coordinates all financial aspects of patient account and assists with financial counseling, billing and collection of accounts.

Education

Required - High School diploma or equivalent

Work Experience
Required - None.

Preferred- Balances accounts, compiles statistics, input data in computer programs and research information.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs)

Knowledge of medical/insurance billing procedures, including, but not limited to Medicare and Medicaid
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Self directed
Excellent customer service skills
Proper phone etiquette. Handles flexibility, stress, change, pressure to relay information clearly and accurately even under these circumstances.

Job Duties

Distributes, sorts, and forwards accounts
Processes claims
Manages accounts and follows up with any issues
Handles patient inquiries
Handles other duties as needed
