Full Job Description

We are looking to fill this Station Manager position at FLL. The candidates that will be considered are those that are able to get to the airport (FLL) within one hour. This position requires U.S. Citizenship, no exceptions.

Slate Aviation DBA Tri-State Charter is a leading provider of private charter services, specializing in VIP charter services. With a commitment to safety, exceptional service, and attention to detail, we cater to discerning travelers seeking a seamless and personalized flying experience.

Position Summary:

The Station Manager plays a critical role in delivering Slate’s exceptional client experience and ensure compliance with company standards and TSA requirements. Maintains seamless coordination between clients, crew, and vendors. Station manager oversees day-to-day operations at the FBO and lounge. This position is responsible for supervising Ground Experience Representatives (GXRs). The Station Manager ensures a world-class experience for high-profile travelers, manages service recovery during disruptions, and leads the team with professionalism, accountability, and attention to detail. In addition to supervising staff performance and scheduling, the Station Manager ensures operational readiness by managing inventory, liaising with vendors, and supporting inflight crew needs. This role requires a strong balance of leadership, customer service, and operational oversight to uphold Slate’s reputation for safety, luxury, and reliability, while maintaining compliance with TSA regulations.

Key Responsibilities (Essential Functions):

Team Leadership & Supervision

Supervise regional GXRs, ensuring professional appearance, performance, and adherence to SOPs.
Conduct performance reviews, audits, and provide coaching.
Support hiring, recruitment, onboarding, and training of GXRs.
Execute and track service, SOP, and TSA training requirements for compliance.
Manage scheduling and act as a GXR when needed.
Coach the team on effective communication and recovery strategies during flight disruptions.

Customer Experience

Represent the Slate company brand at all times in the presence of clients, crews, FBOs, and vendors.
Curate a seamless and personalized experience for high-profile clientele in the FBO and lounge.
Manage the check-in process: verify travel documents, baggage screening, and customer readiness.
Proactively monitor multiple flight statuses, ensuring timely updates to passengers.
Support inflight crew with pre-flight stocking, catering, and onboard requirements.
Take ownership of escalated client situations, providing effective solutions.
Educate clients on Slate’s Shared Flight product, policies, and app usage.

TSA Compliance

Qualify as Ground Security Coordinator (GSC) - a TSA regulated position that entails handling safety sensitive information.
Ensure compliance with all TSA screening regulations.
Act as screening supervisor.
Perform screening duties.

Operations & Vendor Management

Maintain and monitor inventory of flight stock (snacks, beverages, cleaning supplies, etc. ) and necessities (blankets, amenity kits, uniforms, etc.).
Ensure lounge spaces and FBO areas are prepared and presentable before and after customer use.
Liaise with vendors (FBO staff, catering, cleaning, maintenance) to uphold service standards.
Report and follow up on cabin defects or service gaps.
Partner with Flight Experience Supervisor to enhance pre- and post-flight SOPs.

Required Qualifications:

Education:

Must have a high school diploma or GED.

Skills/Competencies:

Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong problem solving skills.
Excellent time management skills with an ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks.
Must be flexible and ready for changes in schedules and plans.
Ability to adhere to strict time schedules, attendance policies, and appearance standards are non-negotiable.
Must be 21 years of age.
Must have a current, valid driver's license.
Must have a current passport.

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of sitting and standing
Must regularly be able to lift up to 50 pounds
