Full Job Description

Full Time Direct Hire for Senior Corporate Paralegal in Miami, FL.

THIS IS IN BRICKELL AREA OF MIAMI AND SITS ONSTIE 5 DAYS A WEEK.

OVERVIEW:

The Corporate Paralegal is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, administration, and business management of the company’s in-house Legal Department. This role ensures the department operates efficiently and effectively by managing financial processes, legal technology, matter tracking, and departmental workflows. The Manager partners closely with the General Counsel, attorneys, and business leaders to support strategic initiatives, maintain compliance, and optimize legal operations in alignment with organizational goals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

Department Operations & Administration

Manage the daily operational and administrative functions of the Legal Department.
Develop, implement, and maintain department policies, procedures, and best practices.
Coordinate and prioritize departmental workflows to support department and company initiatives and deadlines.
Serve as a principal point of contact between the Legal Department and other corporate functions.
Prepare departmental checklists, reports, and dashboards.

Financial Oversight

Review incoming invoices, monitor legal spending, and oversee accrual and forecasting processes.
Manage relationships and billing processes with outside counsel and other legal service support providers.
Identify and recommend cost-saving and efficiency opportunities.

Legal Technology & Process Improvement

Administer and optimize legal technology systems, including billing, matter management, and contract lifecycle management platforms.
Ensure accuracy and consistency in matter tracking, document management, and reporting.
Evaluate and implement new tools or processes to improve departmental efficiency and transparency.

Compliance & Governance Support

Support the General Counsel and attorneys in ensuring compliance with corporate governance and regulatory obligations.
Coordinate filing of corporate documents, board materials, and subsidiary management records.
Assist with compliance programs, training, and audit-related activities as needed.
Track deadlines for required filings, renewals, and certifications.

Leadership & Staff Development

Oversee onboarding, training, and professional development for legal team members.
Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Manage attorney continuing legal education (CLE) tracking and license renewals.

Strategic Projects & Support

Lead or assist with department-wide initiatives such as policy updates, process automation, or strategic planning.
Collaborate with senior leadership on special projects and cross-functional initiatives.
Prepare executive-level presentations and reports to communicate key departmental metrics and accomplishments.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree required (Business Administration, Legal Studies, or related field preferred).
Minimum 7 years of progressively responsible experience in a corporate legal department or similar in-house setting.
Proven experience managing legal operations, budgeting, or project management.
Experience implementing or managing technology platforms.
Advanced degree or paralegal certification a plus.
Strong leadership, organizational, and analytical skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
High attention to detail and accuracy in managing sensitive and confidential information.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with operations tools.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
