Job Title: Logistics Coordinator and Dispatcher

Location: Midland, TX 79703

Position Reports To: Dispatch manager

Position Description:

The Logistics Coordinator and Dispatcher position within Westico Energy is one of the most critical roles to ensure the success of our daily operations from order placement to order fulfillment and customer execution. This positions is would be responsible for the following, but not limited to clear and concise communication between all internal personnel such as the sales team and operations, along with direct customers, and our driving force, order confirmations and scheduling, day-to-day driver time management and scheduling, route optimizations, accurate product and pull point verification, DOT and NON-DOT asset reporting, driver trip reports, delivery ticket review and audits, and DVIR’s.

Position Schedule:

4 Days On / 3 Days Off

Typical workdays are 12 to 15 hours pending daily workload and will be required to field calls in the evening.

Position may require non-traditional hours (evening, weekends, and holidays) to successfully meet the needs of the business operations pending set workload at any given time.

Position Responsibilities (May include the following, but not limited to):

Arriving to work on time on set schedule that is agreed upon with operations team.

Always maintain a safe and clean work environment within the Westico Energy Office.

Ability to clearly communicate and support sales and operations personnel requests daily.

Ability to use Microsoft Office programs such as Word and Excel for daily reporting to management.

Assist in bulk liquids such as fuel and lubricants, along with fixing assets inventory daily, weekly, and monthly.

Ability to schedule all customer requests in a timely manner and within specific delivery windows daily.

Assess current market movements within fuel supply and understand primary pull points for deliveries.

Assign and schedule all loads in the most efficient manner possible to assist in increasing profitability.

Ability to use ELD software and Dispatching software to optimize routing and communication to drivers.

Review all driver trip reports and delivery tickets the next day for customer requirement accuracy.

Assist in ensuring that all driver team members are trained and cleared on all various racks in the Permian.

Qualifications and Basic Requirements:

Must have working knowledge and experience with computers and various software platforms.

Must be able to work nights and potential weekends depending on the 4/3 rotation.

Must be able to work with minimal supervision and is a self-started with proactive tendencies.

A valid driver’s license and a good driving record to be insurance to driver company vehicles.

Must be able to pass standard background check, drug testing and MVR screening.

Must be able to work independently with quality time-management and organization skills.

Must attend all company safety meetings once a week for training and coaching on set topics.

Must have the ability to read, write and speak in the English language. (Bi-Lingual Is Preferred)

Exceptional verbal and written communication, and interpersonal skills.

Must present a professional appearance and demeanor in the office.

Preferred Qualifications:

Preferably have a high school diploma and/or GED.

Preferably five (5) years of experience in logistics coordinating and/or dispatching.

Preferably one (1) to two (2) years of experience within the refined fuels and/or related industry.

Preferably local to ensure an easy and reliable commute to and from the terminal.
