Full Job Description

We are a small Payroll Service Bureau, located in Colonial Heights, Virginia. We provide our clients with the highest level of customer service, with a personal approach – they know us, and we know them – no support portals, no ticketing systems, no call centers, just prompt, professional, knowledgeable support when they need it.

We are currently seeking a Payroll Print Technician. As a Payroll Print Technician you will support our receptionist as well as verify payroll data, print and package payroll print jobs, and ensure timely mailing of payroll packages.

Cover letter must be received with resume for consideration.

Responsibilities:

Acts as a receptionist by supporting incoming calls to the office and directing to the requested Specialist or department.
Covers our front office receptionist desk when our receptionist is out.
Understand basic payroll calculations.
Maintain confidentiality of all payroll information.
Print, seal and package all client payroll print jobs within quality parameters and deadlines.
Assemble parcels for shipping by inserting items into shipping envelopes, weighing packages, and affixing labels to parcels.
Manage delivery of local USPS and FedEx delivery packages (includes dropping packages off at pickup location).
Research and resolve client delivery inquiries.
Maintain printing equipment and supplies
Make necessary system updates regarding packaging instructions, 'attention to' contacts and delivery instructions, as specific to individual client accounts.
Perform additional duties as required, including special projects and audits.
Keen attention to detail to ensure a low error rate when sending packages out; Takes preemptive action to prevent errors and waste.

Exceptional organizational skills and multi-tasking abilities along with attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
Must have the ability to take initiative and manage multiple detailed tasks in a fast paced, highly complex and deadline-oriented service environment.
Must be flexible and able to work overtime when necessary.
Able to deal with difficult, sensitive and confidential issues.
Professional, articulate, and able to use good independent judgement and discretion.
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills required.
Keen attention to detail to ensure a low error rate on payroll and when sending packages out.
Takes preemptive action to prevent errors and waste.
Must be highly proficient and fully functional in all Microsoft Office applications

Qualifications:

Proficiency in analyzing data and generating reports.
Payroll, accounting, HR, or administrative experience.
Experience with Apex and Swipeclock systems is a plus.
Multi-state payroll processing knowledge, preferred.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
