TOTAL COMPENSATION: SALARY+BONUS
Salary Range $70,304 to $80,000
Bonus $12,000/year
Profit Sharing: $10,000 to $30,000

Underdogs Tres, located a stones throw from Golden Gate Park, is seeking a qualified Restaurant Manager to help guide our energetic Front of House staff. We are a sports themed restaurant that produces delicious and unique Mexican food concepts.

Our food is local, sustainable and we use only compostable materials for our packaging products. We feel we have a duty to supply fresh food to each customer, while also being environmentally conscious. We are very proud of our Surfrider Ocean Friendly certification!

POSITION SUMMARY:

We are looking for a Restaurant Manager to guide and support our established and successful restaurant, Underdogs Tres! Must have some bar experience to be able to cover breaks and experience in a very high volume environment!

PRIMARY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Enforce company policies consistent with the Underdogs Tres brand
Manage FOH staff - provide support and opportunity for continuous, constructive feedback, and education; hire, train, coach, and take corrective action as needed
Execute training programs and initiatives to foster team-building, recognition, and professionalism amongst employees
Maintain inventory of FOH product – beer, liquor, supplies, merchandise, etc.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness, food/product safety, and brand alignment
Protect guest and employee well-being through effective safety and risk management
Administer employee onboarding, cash handling, payroll reporting, and schedulingGuide employees and engage with customers throughout serviceMeet regularly with General Manager & management teamEnsure strong communication flow between Underdogs Tres management and staff

SECONDARY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintain positive, mutually beneficial relationships with neighbors, vendors, and industry personnel
Resolve employee and customer problems and respond in a timely manner to all escalated customer service issues
Communicate effectively with colleagues in other Underdogs Tres departments, ie. BOH
Assist in executing occasional offsite events, ie. caterings
Assist in the management of other retail locations as needed
Cover employee shifts in case of emergency staffing needs

KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION REQUIRED:

High school diploma
Experience as a Lead or Manager in a bar or restaurant with a focus on customer service and thoughtfully prepared food and drinkMust be 21 years of age or older at the time of application
Food Manager and ABC Leads certification

Ability to balance casual and friendly customer engagement with the nuance of proficient service
Ability to effectively motivate and lead a diverse workforceStrong interpersonal skillsImpeccable attention to detail
Ability to diagnose a problem, determine its scope, and plan corrective steps
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills  
Must be highly organized, with ability to independently manage a calendar
Proficiency in Microsoft Office/Google Apps, specifically Sheets, Excel, Word, and Docs
Ability to learn new software
Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and commitment to Underdogs Tres mission, values and company goals

KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION PREFERRED:

Bachelor’s Degree
1-3 years experience as an Manager of high-volume bar or restaurant with a focus on customer service and thoughtfully prepared food and drink
Experience working for a growing bar, restaurant or restaurant group
Strong understanding of tequila, craft beer and Mexican style food
Experience maintaining food safety and kitchen organization

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
Ability to sit and work with hands and arms for at least eight (8) hours per day and five (5) days per week
Physical ability to stand up to 8 hours a day, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, and walk
Hand and finger dexterity for grabbing, lifting, etc.
Ability to move at least 150 lbs., and lift at least 50 lbs.
Proficient interpersonal relations and communicative skills in English

EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK: 40+ HoursMust have a flexible schedule, with ability to work evenings, weekends, and some holiday

WORK ENVIRONMENT: General FOH, BOH, and office environment
