Overview

Join our dynamic quality assurance team as a Quality Inspector and Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) Operator, where your expertise will ensure the highest standards of precision and reliability in manufacturing processes. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced measurement tools, uphold rigorous quality standards, and contribute to the production of top-tier aerospace, semiconductor, medical and manufacturing components. Your technical proficiency and keen eye for detail will be instrumental in maintaining product integrity and customer satisfaction.

Duties

Operate and program Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM), such as Zeiss and Manual CMM, to perform dimensional inspections on complex parts and assemblies.
Conduct precise measurements using a variety of measuring instruments, including height gauges, calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools.
Interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) specifications to verify conformance to design requirements.
Develop and modify CMM programs to accommodate different parts, ensuring accurate data collection aligned with engineering standards.
Perform dimensional inspections in accordance with ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO 13485, and ASME codes & standards to ensure compliance with quality standards in production.
Document inspection results meticulously, prepare detailed reports, and communicate findings clearly to manufacturing teams for corrective actions.
Support quality control initiatives by conducting root cause analysis on non-conforming parts and recommending process improvements.
Maintain calibration records for measuring instruments and ensure all equipment adheres to calibration schedules for accuracy.
Assist in training team members on proper use of measurement tools and CMM programming techniques to foster a culture of quality excellence.

Experience

Proven experience in quality inspection within aerospace or manufacturing industries, with a strong focus on precision measurement in machining environments.
Hands-on proficiency with Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM), including programming with PC-DMIS or similar software platforms like Calypso.
Solid understanding of ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO 13485 standards, and ASME codes & standards related to quality assurance processes.
Demonstrated ability to read mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD models created with SolidWorks or other CAD software.
Familiarity with dimensional inspection techniques such as GD&T, use of height gauges, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments.
Knowledge of tooling setup, mechanical blueprint interpretation, machining processes, and manufacturing workflows.
Strong mathematical skills for calculating measurements accurately and analyzing measurement data effectively.
Experience working within quality assurance frameworks specific to aerospace or highly regulated industries is highly preferred.
