Full Job Description

Job Summary

Gud Vybz Jamaican Grill is looking for a Kitchen Systems Manager to take full ownership of our back-of-house operations. This role is not just cooking. It is about making sure the kitchen runs on a system: inventory is tight, the cooler and freezer are organized, supplies are always stocked, the staff schedule is managed properly, and the kitchen is always clean and inspection ready.

The right person is experienced, organized, and confident enough to treat the kitchen like it is their own. You will be responsible for protecting food cost, preventing waste, keeping everything running smooth, leading the team with accountability, building staff schedules, and using our POS system to track and manage performance.

Duties and Responsibilities

Take full responsibility for the kitchen including freezer, cooler, dry stock, prep areas, and cleanliness

Maintain tight inventory control including ordering, receiving, counting, tracking usage, and reducing waste

Run errands and source supplies while always finding the best deals from vendors

Ensure kitchen stays fully stocked while keeping costs low

Enforce recipe standards and portion control so food is consistent every day

Keep the kitchen inspection ready 24 hours a day 7 days a week with strict cleaning and organization systems including FIFO labeling and dating

Monitor food cost and waste reports and communicate directly with ownership weekly

Prevent theft or misuse of products and protect every dollar in the kitchen

Train and lead staff in food preparation, safety, and efficiency

Use Square POS system to log inventory, track usage, and manage reporting

Create and manage the weekly kitchen schedule to ensure proper coverage and control labor costs

Step in only as needed to support cooking or prep. This role is to manage systems not just cook

What We Are Looking For

3 to 5 years of real kitchen leadership experience not just line cooking

Proven ability to manage inventory freezer and cooler systems vendor sourcing food cost control and scheduling

Organized detail oriented and system driven. Thrives on accountability

Comfortable using POS systems such as Square for reporting and management

Mature dependable and confident in leading others. Ideal candidates are professionals with pride in ownership

Compensation and Benefits

42000 to 60000 per year based on experience and performance

We are open Tuesday to Saturday

Weekends are required
