Accounting Manager

Help Build the Finance Team Behind One of Wisconsin’s Fastest-Growing Home Remodeling Companies

At Abby Home, we don’t just remodel homes—we create exceptional customer experiences. As we continue our rapid growth, we’re looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to partner directly with our Chief Financial Officer and help build a world-class accounting department.

What You’ll Do

As our Accounting Manager, you’ll oversee the day-to-day accounting operations while helping improve financial systems, reporting, and internal controls.

Responsibilities Include:

Financial Management

Maintain the general ledger and chart of accounts
Prepare journal entries and monthly reconciliations
Lead month-end and year-end close
Prepare timely and accurate financial statements
Analyze financial performance and investigate variances

Accounts Payable & Receivable

Oversee AP and AR processes
Ensure vendors are paid accurately and on time
Monitor customer collections
Assist with weekly cash flow management
Build strong vendor and customer relationships

Inventory & Cost Accounting

Assist with inventory accounting and reconciliations
Monitor inventory valuation and costing
Analyze inventory variances
Partner with purchasing and operations to improve inventory accuracy

Reporting & Analysis

Prepare monthly financial reports and KPIs
Assist with budgeting and forecasting
Support cash flow forecasting
Provide financial analysis for leadership decisions

Process Improvement

Improve accounting workflows and automation
Help implement new software and technology
Develop accounting procedures and internal controls
Continuously identify ways to make the department more efficient

Leadership

Work directly with the CFO
Collaborate with operations, sales, purchasing, and executive leadership
Take ownership of accounting accuracy and financial integrity
Help build scalable processes for a growing organization

What We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
5+ years of progressive accounting experience
Strong understanding of GAAP
Advanced QuickBooks experience
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP)
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
High attention to detail and integrity

Preferred Experience

Home improvement or construction industry experience
Inventory accounting
Job costing
AP automation software ( or similar)
Payroll systems
Financial reporting software
