Zero-Max is currently recruiting for a Machinist/Welder who will be responsible for the set-up and operation of one or more machine tools with little supervision and be proficient in TIG welding

Summary

Machinist / Welder is an intermediate level position with the experience necessary to be proficient in the set-up and operation of one or more machine tools with little supervision and proficient in TIG welding.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Machining

Set-up Manual and Lathes and Mills
Operate machines
Inspect parts with measuring instruments and makes machine offsets
Maintain current set-up documentation
Instruct less skilled operators
Perform finishing work such as deburring, parts washing, etc.
Perform TIG welding
Maintain a clean and safe workplace
Other duties assigned, as needed

Requirements:

Education/Qualifications

Requires education generally equivalent to an associate degree in Machining with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience with general machine shop equipment and welding; or a combination of relevant education and experience.

Required Skills

Proficient using general measuring instruments and some speed and feed calculations
Ability to efficiently and successfully perform basic machine setups
