Full Job Description

W.D. Forbes Company seeks a Full Time Warehouse Supervisor/Worker for their Minneapolis warehouse. This position will work as a team with our truck driver. Successful candidates will have four to five years of warehouse experience. This is an hourly position with a 40 hour per week being the norm (8:00AM-4:30PM). The selected candidate will be eligible for a benefits package, including Medical (2/3 covered by company), Dental, PTO, Sick leave and 401K retirement eligibility after 1 year.

Essential Functions: In order to perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily and regular attendance is required. The responsibilities listed below are representative of the primary essential functions that may be required; additional duties may be assigned.

We are seeking an organized, self-motivated, detailed-oriented Warehouse Manager/Worker to oversee our warehouse operations.

· Oversees and Manages warehouse and floor operations

· Pulls orders from inventory, logs lot numbers, rotates stock, prepares and stages outgoing orders

· Receives inbound freight, logs lot numbers, counts product, records discrepancies or damages and puts away product in proper locations

· Audits receiving and shipping documentation for accuracy

· Works with inventory control/stock accuracy, inventory tracking and data integrity

· Contacts and coordinates incoming/outbound carriers and develops relationships

· Plans and ensures efficient shipment of chemicals and equipment

· Creation of Bills of Ladings through computer system-Haz Mat Certified

· Basic chemical blending

· Repackaging products and labeling products into various containers

· Keeps warehouse in organized and neat manner

· Optimizes warehouse layout and space utilization

· Works with driver to schedule daily shipments efficiently meeting customer needs

· Follows OSHA safety regulations

· Communicates information provided by carriers and customers to office personnel

· Collaborates with customer service and purchasing

· General maintenance & inspection of plant/equipment and advises when outside maintenance may be needed or if repairs can be made internally

· Conducts physical counts and reconcile with data to maintain adequate inventory levels

· Knowledge of proper safety procedures, equipment maintenance and warehouse best practices

· Strong leadership and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to manage and develop a team

· Create shipments for UPS/FedEx/Speedee Delivery

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office is a plus. Computer savvy is helpful.

· Individual should be good at multi-tasking and be flexible to do a number of different tasks during a work day.

· Have the ability to juggle tasks and know how to prioritize

· Trains new warehouse hires on duties and equipment use.

· Addressing other miscellaneous items that come up during normal warehouse – resolving issues.

Requirements –

· Ideal candidate has 5 years of warehouse experience preferably in a chemical house setting

· Forklift certified – Forklift driver experience required

· Hazardous Materials Certified

· Comfortable to work with numbers on a daily basis – general mathematics - accuracy

· Computer Literate

· Be able to work independently

· Safety Awareness

· Familiarity with Safety Data Sheets

· English fluency is required

Physical Requirements-

The physical requirements described here are representative of the physical demands required by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to walk, sit, stand, reach overhead, push and bend to the floor. The employee is regularly required to talk, communicate and hear. The employee is required to get on and off forklift regularly, drive a forklift, operate a pallet jack and a shrink-wrapping machine. The employee is required to use dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. The ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time. The person is required to lift boxes up to 50 lbs. or slide boxes around 100 lbs.

Education and Experience Requirements:

At least five years’ experience in a warehouse/shipping setting.
