Overview

As Controller, you’ll play a key role in shaping the integrity, accuracy, and scalability of our financial operations. This is a hands-on leadership position where you’ll partner closely with the CFO and cross-functional teams to ensure strong financial management as we grow.

Core Responsibilities

Own the general ledger and day-to-day accounting across multiple legal entities.
Lead month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timeliness and accuracy.
Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments with precision.
Partner with the CFO to drive annual budgeting and forecasting.
Manage sales tax compliance in coordination with a third-party tax provider.
Oversee consolidations across acquired companies, ensuring consistent accounting treatment.
Maintain strong internal controls and documentation as the organization scales.
Support audits, reviews, and external reporting requirements.
Integrate newly acquired businesses into standardized accounting and reporting practices.
Prepare and maintain multi-entity budgets and rolling forecasts, incorporating acquisition activity and operational inputs.
Develop and analyze monthly financial performance reports, including variance analysis versus budget and forecast.
Support cash flow forecasting and working capital analysis.
Build and refine financial models to support strategic initiatives, investments, and acquisitions.
Continuously improve FP&A processes, tools, and data integrity to enable better decision-making.

What We’re Looking For

Required Experience & Skills

7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including Controller or Assistant Controller roles.
Strong understanding of GAAP and multi-entity accounting.
Hands-on experience with journal entries, reconciliations, and close processes.
Proven experience with FP&A processes and budgeting.
Exposure to sales tax compliance and working with third-party tax providers.
Experience managing consolidations across multiple companies or locations.
High attention to detail with the ability to see the bigger picture.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Preferred

CPA or equivalent experience.
Background in acquisitive or private equity–backed companies.
Systems-savvy, with experience in ERP/accounting system implementation or optimization.
