Overview

Join our dynamic team as a Hostess/Hourly Manager and become the welcoming face of our vibrant restaurant! In this energetic role, you will oversee guest arrivals, manage reservations, and ensure seamless guest experiences from the moment they walk through the door. Your leadership will help create a warm, organized, and efficient environment that keeps guests coming back. This position offers an exciting opportunity to combine hospitality expertise with management skills in a fast-paced setting dedicated to exceptional service.

Duties

Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage reservation bookings using restaurant table management systems such as Aloha POS or similar platforms
Coordinate seating arrangements to optimize table turnover while maintaining guest satisfaction
Oversee guest relations, ensuring all visitors receive attentive and personalized service
Handle phone communication professionally, including reservation inquiries and waitlist management, following proper phone etiquette
Supervise the host team, providing guidance on customer service standards and organizational procedures
Assist in managing POS systems during busy hours to support efficient check-in and check-out processes
Maintain food safety standards by adhering to hygiene protocols and ensuring a clean, welcoming environment for guests

Qualifications

Proven experience as a host/hostess or in food service roles with strong guest service skills
Previous experience managing reservations and using restaurant table management systems such as Aloha POS or equivalent
Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle phone calls confidently and courteously
Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tables, reservations, and guest requests simultaneously
Basic math skills for handling seating calculations, waitlist management, and POS transactions
Knowledge of food safety standards and hospitality best practices
Experience with POS systems including Aloha POS is preferred
Demonstrated ability to lead a team with positive attitude and effective communication
