About Crow Valley Golf Club

Crow Valley is a premier private club known for personalized, professional service and an elevated dining experience across multiple venues—including formal and casual dining rooms, the Family Grill, the Members Lounge (Crow’s Nest), veranda, pool, and patio dining—and for hosting distinctive member events year‑round. Current membership is ~430 families; in‑season staffing is ~160 employees; annual Food & Beverage revenue is approximately $1.7M. Crow Valley is well known in the community for offering signature events with high level food and beverage offerings.

Crow Valley’s service ethos is anchored in a mission to deliver a lifestyle of excellence and a vision of being the premier family club with excellence in personalized and professional service. This role is designed to bring those statements to life on the dining floor every day.

Position Overview

The Restaurant Manager is a highly engaging, member‑facing leader who places people first—members, guests, and team—while elevating hospitality standards across all dining venues. You’ll be the visible “host of the house,” ensuring an exceptional experience through warm, proactive service; coaching and developing a high‑performing team; and managing daily operations, costs, and standards in partnership with culinary, events, and club leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Hospitality & Member Experience

Be a constant, approachable presence on the floor; greet members by name, anticipate needs, and resolve issues with empathy and urgency.
Lead pre‑shift huddles that reinforce service standards, menu knowledge, and the club’s hospitality philosophy; conduct table touches to verify satisfaction and personalize the experience.
Uphold Crow Valley’s mission/vision through consistent, personalized service in every venue and during signature events.
Leverage member feedback channels (e.g., the club’s dining preference survey) to identify trends and action plans that improve satisfaction.

Operations Excellence

Own daily front‑of‑house operations for all restaurant venues, coordinating smoothly with the Events team for banquets, receptions, showers, weddings, and business meetings.
Ensure consistent execution of service standards, opening/closing checklists, station setup, cash handling, and post‑service debriefs; maintain a culture of clean, safe, and organized work.
Partner with the Executive Chef on menu roll‑outs, pacing, and guest communication; orchestrate floor flow to align culinary timing with hospitality cues.
Oversee reservations, waitlist, and table management to balance member demand and staffing while protecting the club’s private‑member experience.

Team Leadership & Culture

Recruit, onboard, train, and mentor FOH team members; model professional, positive, and polished communication.
Build schedules that meet demand and budget targets; optimize labor while preserving hospitality coverage in each venue.
Conduct coaching and performance conversations with clarity and care; recognize excellent service behaviors; foster growth pathways.
Ensure training materials are current and used—e.g., Crow Valley’s server training content and standards—so expectations are clear and consistent.

Event & Program Support

Collaborate with Events and the culinary team to elevate club‑defining experiences (Farm to Fairway, Derby Party, holiday brunches, cocktail releases, Casino Night, Patio Parties, glow‑ball tournaments, member‑guest and more).
Translate event plans into FOH staffing models, service flows, and member touch‑points that feel seamless and special.

Qualifications

3–5+ years of leadership in private clubs, luxury resorts, or fine‑casual restaurants; multi‑venue oversight is a plus.
Proven success leading hospitality‑first teams with high member/guest satisfaction.
Financial literacy (labor planning, inventory control, beverage cost, forecasting).
Strong communication skills; confident public presence; adept at training and coaching.
Proficiency with POS, reservations, and scheduling tools; comfort with basic reporting.
ServSafe and alcohol service certifications (or ability to obtain).
