About the Role

As a Precision CNC Machinist, you will play a vital role in our high-tech manufacturing facility by producing complex components for critical power generation equipment. You will leverage your technical expertise to operate advanced machinery, ensuring every part meets rigorous quality standards while contributing to the efficiency of our production lines.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate a variety of sophisticated CNC equipment, including 5-axis mills and horizontal boring machines, to achieve precise manufacturing outcomes.
Interpret complex blueprints, technical drawings, and engineering specifications to determine optimal machining strategies and tooling requirements.
Execute material handling tasks using overhead cranes and industrial equipment to safely manage heavy workpieces throughout the production cycle.
Maintain a culture of safety and excellence by strictly adhering to established operational procedures and quality control protocols.
Perform complex metrology and dimensional inspections to verify that all finished components align with exact design tolerances.
Collaborate with the production team to optimize machine uptime and streamline manufacturing workflows for high-value components.

Qualifications

Required Skills

High School diploma or GED equivalent.
Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in CNC machining operations.
Demonstrated proficiency in interpreting technical schematics and performing shop math calculations.
Ability to obtain and maintain relevant industrial equipment certifications, such as forklift or crane operation.
Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs and pass standard health screenings, including pulmonary function tests.

Preferred Skills

Prior experience with laser drilling, specialized coating applications, or heat treatment processes.
Familiarity with advanced CAM software and complex CNC programming environments.
Previous success in achieving industry-recognized career readiness certifications.
Strong problem-solving skills related to machine setup, tooling, and process troubleshooting.
