Job Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Small Engine Mechanic and become a vital part of our service department! In this energetic role, you will diagnose, repair, and maintain small engines and related equipment to ensure optimal performance and customer satisfaction. Your mechanical expertise will help keep outdoor power equipment, generators, and other machinery running smoothly. We are looking for motivated individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are passionate about delivering top-notch service. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a supportive team setting while working on a variety of small engines and equipment.

Responsibilities

Diagnose issues with small engines, including lawn mowers, chainsaws, trimmers, and generators using schematics and technical manuals
Perform repairs and maintenance on a wide range of equipment
Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering irons, and other specialized tools to complete repairs accurately
Read and interpret schematics, technical diagrams, and service manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical problems
Assist customers by providing expert advice on repairs, parts replacement, and proper equipment usage
Maintain detailed service records, work orders, and inventory logs for all repairs performed

Requirements

Proven experience as a small engine or equipment mechanic with dealership or service technician background preferred
Strong mechanical knowledge of small engines,and generator systems ( Chainsaw, blowers, Lawn mowers ect..)
Familiarity with schematics, electrical systems, soldering techniques, welding processes, and heavy lifting safety procedures
Hands-on experience with vehicle maintenance tools such as hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic devices
Ability to read technical manuals and schematics accurately for troubleshooting complex issues
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly
Physical ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work in various environmental conditions
Additional experience with Stihl, Echo< and Scag mowers preferred
Must have own tools
Must have experience working on outdoor power equipment.
Must be able to pass a background and drug test.
