Full Job Description

The Hillside School, a renowned K-9 independent educational institution in Macungie, PA, is seeking a Part-Time Front Desk Receptionist. The Front Desk Receptionist is responsible for coordinating the daily operations of the front office. This position is an hourly part-time non-exempt position. This position would be split between 2 people, one serving 3 full days and the other severing 2 days.

Principal Responsibilities:

Greet visitors, parents, and students and ensure sign-in procedures are followed
Manage phone calls and correspondence with all constituents
Organize and distribute mail to and from the school
Photocopy, fax, and scan documents
Update the student portal logistics changes as needed
Manage daily attendance for students in the student portal
Administer general first aid and medication to students and record in the student portal
Track student medication records and send parent reminders as needed
Maintain care and organization of the health room
Maintain student records
Manage retention and destruction of student and confidential records
Collaborate with the East Penn school nurse and the Assistant Head of School to
Administer medication
Order and maintain first aid supplies
Organize health records
Schedule CPR certification and EpiPen training
Manage transportation with school districts and parents
Act 372 documentation
Field trip busing
Daily Dismissal log
Coordinate monthly “special” student and staff lunches
Assist with the completion of Handbooks
Organize and facilitate Picture Day
Assist other departments with communications and project support as needed
Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Proficient with Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and Excel
Strong organization and communication (oral and written) skills
Work collaboratively with all constituents
Show initiative in problem-solving

Clearances required to begin work:

Act 34 (PA State Police Criminal Background Check)
Act 114 (Federal Criminal History Record)
Act 151 (PA Child Abuse History Clearance)
