About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Machinist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up and operating grinding machines to produce high-quality components. Your expertise in mechanical troubleshooting and industrial automation will be crucial to ensuring our production goals are met.

Responsibilities

Set up and reset machines, including installing support and pressure rolls, spindles, and motor pulleys.
Maintain continuous operation of multiple machines, ensuring consistent part loading and unloading.
Conduct thorough inspections using air, mechanical, and plug gauges, making necessary machine adjustments to maintain print tolerances.
Change grinding wheels and adjust diamonds as needed to optimize grinding performance.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, completing all required documentation accurately.
Perform first piece approvals, adhering to the established setup approval process.
Utilize precision measuring equipment to verify part dimensions and quality.
Uphold ethics and safety programs, as well as all relevant export, import, and supply chain security policies.

Qualifications

Required Skills

High School Education or GED.
Proficiency in shop math and blueprint reading.
Familiarity with precision measuring equipment.
Ability to work effectively in both team and individual settings.

Preferred Skills

Experience with machine setups for production runs.
Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills.
Experience troubleshooting industrial automation equipment.
Computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Knowledge of ISO 9000 standards and environmental compliance programs.
