Just Right Mechanical Systems is seeking a motivated, skilled, and customer-focused HVAC, Plumbing & Electrical Service Technician to join our growing team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, installing, and maintaining residential and light commercial mechanical systems while delivering exceptional customer service. Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair, install, and maintain residential and light commercial HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems while following company safety standards.
- Perform preventative maintenance on heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical equipment to ensure optimal system performance and reliability.
- Troubleshoot boilers, furnaces, heat pumps, mini-split systems, air handlers, rooftop units, condensers, water heaters, pumps, piping, electrical panels, switches, outlets, lighting, and related mechanical equipment.
- Install new HVAC systems, plumbing fixtures, water heaters, piping, electrical components, and mechanical equipment according to manufacturer specifications and local code requirements.
- Identify system deficiencies, explain repair options, and recommend cost-effective solutions to customers with professionalism and honesty.
- Complete digital work orders, service reports, inspection forms, and job documentation using smartphones or tablets.
- Maintain clean, organized service vehicles, tools, and equipment while ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.
- Collaborate with dispatchers, office staff, and fellow technicians to coordinate service schedules and provide timely customer support.
- Follow all OSHA, EPA, NEC, and company safety guidelines while performing field service work.
- Deliver an outstanding customer experience by treating every customer's home or business with respect, professionalism, and integrity.
Qualifications
- Experience diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining HVAC, plumbing, or electrical systems in residential or light commercial environments.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot equipment efficiently and independently.
- Familiarity with HVAC equipment, plumbing systems, electrical systems, controls, and industry best practices.
- Ability to accurately complete digital service reports, work orders, and customer documentation using mobile technology.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills with the ability to clearly explain technical information and repair recommendations.
- Ability to safely lift up to 75 pounds and perform physical work in various indoor and outdoor environments.
- Comfortable working independently while also contributing as a collaborative team member.
- Prior HVAC, plumbing, or electrical service experience is preferred. Cross-trade experience is highly valued, and additional training is available for qualified candidates.
Preferred Qualifications
- Two or more years of HVAC, plumbing, or electrical field experience.
- EPA Universal Certification (HVAC).
- Plumbing and/or electrical experience.
- Experience troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems independently.
- Comfortable using smartphones, tablets, and digital work order software.
- Clean driving record.
